Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Loss Call for Proposals The Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Loss (AMPHL) announces a call for proposals for its upcoming conference, to be hosted on September 10 and 11 in Washington, D.C. Presentations will occur all day September 10 and the morning of September 11. Information regarding the conference can be found at http://www.amphl.org The goal of the AMPHL Conference is threefold: 1) Address issues specific to our audience of Deaf/hard of hearing medical/health professionals. 2) Address issues pertaining to the entire spectrum of our audience – the pre-professional, student, and professional levels. 3) Provide new information and ideas. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit a proposal. Presentation Proposal should include: Abstract Type of presentation – individual, group, panel, interactive, etc. Time needed –presentations may be either 45 or 90 minutes in length with time provided for questions from the audience. Audiovisual equipment needed. We will provide microphones, Power Point, and a screen. Other equipment requests will be honored when possible. Contact information, including e-mail address. Computer Aided Real Time Captioning and ASL/Voice Interpreters will be provided for all sessions during the conference. Presenters will be provided with a buffet lunch and registration for the day of their presentation. As a non-profit organization, we regret that we are unable to pay for travel and lodging for our presenters at this time.
