Kel,
Clearly, we seem to be dealing here with what appears to be a nut case, and I do not mean it in a derogative way Vera. You are an intelligent person who for some reason is seeing or shall I say visualizing the world through a clouded prism. You remind me of Pat (Bachenan?) whose ideas have become so outlandish that he has reduced himself to a laughable bafoon. He has turned himself into the comic of the political/media world of America. The same redundancy of ideas also applies to the KKK, who get booed, jeered and pelted with stones each time they march anywhere in America. Over time, I have come to realize from your postings that your deductive reasoning is as skewed as that of all the usual suspects; Bill O'rielly, Sean Hannity, Tom Delay, Rush Limbeau and the other dillusional republicans.
If you cannot make connection between the activities of groups like The WU and social changes in America, you might want to take a sociology class where you will learn the subtle and intricate relationship between the 70s movement and American society.

Is it just me, or has the world gone mad? No, members of an army are not
"also citizens" when they are acting in the national interest in that
country's armed forces! I read an e-mail today from an Israeli. He was
responding to a post from someone who was condemning Israel. He said
that in addition to the suicide bombings, Palestinians use citizens and
children to shield themselves from Israeli attacks because they know
that Israel won't kill them (the Palestinians see that as weakness on
Israel's part, by the way). When Israel detects the shield, then they
attempt to divert the weapons so they don't kill the innocent. Arafat
and his people have said they want to destroy Israel. They do not want
to live peaceably next to them. When your neighbor wants to kill you,
what exactly should you do?
