HI, Are you sure all connections are plugged into the original jacks? That's what it "sounds" like to me, especially after a recent move. Maybe the speaker's connector got damaged. The static noise should not be there. Did you try a different set of speakers? If you are not seeing a yellow ! Or red X in device manager then it would be safe to say the card is fine, especially with the message you stated in your e-mail about "working properly". Are you sure you did not mute anything? Does the Speaker show in the tray with out a red circle and line over it? Did you check the BIOS, make sure if sound is on board, it was not disabled. Thanks and have a Great Day! Joe Lore ======================================= I am unable to get the sound to work on my husbands computer. I can hear static through the speakers on occasion but that is it. There is no sound from the computer itself. I have checked all connections, drivers, etc. and everything indicates it is working properly. Could the problem be the sound board? When I check the details of the sound board the notes tell me "This is working properly". It worked fine until we moved it and it hasn't worked since. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try.
