Why in the world we always come up with new and innovative ways to consume what we shouldn't continues to amaze me. I'm not convinced that there were no tuber-like veggies used for food. It's true that the modern potato is just that -- modern, but do we know without question that tuber-like veggies were not available to our paleo ancestors? I would consider having a plethora of fresh fruits available in abundance as we have today in grocery stores unpaleo as well. I'm not suggesting that this new potato is paleo -- and as I mentioned in my earlier post, neither are many of our modern fruits and veggies that many on this list consider paleo simply because they can be eaten raw. However, it may be more paleolike -- do you know for certain what kinds of roots and tubers were actually available to our paleo ancestors? I don't and that's why I'm not as certain as you that tubers are foods we shouldn't eat.
