Yes, but.  US nutrition policy affects a lot of people who can't do much
about it.  For example, school lunches and military rations must follow the
USDA food pyramid.  So must food subsidies for the indigent.  You know,
people without good health care if any?  Any health facilities for the
indigent are publicly funded and must also promote the pyramid.  Which only
makes things worse and leads to a viscious cycle.  It's a sad commentary and
just saying, "Enh!" seems wrong.  But making any changes are damn hard.
What a world.
