Hi Amado,

Joke.Flipped is usually a stand alone program (executable), which requires
manual execution. It is one of many joke programs which one usually
installs, as a joke, on a friends computer. It's also possible, but not
likely, your neighbor received it in an e-mail and executed the program
himself not knowing what it was. Usually, after the joke has run it's
course, the "joker" will come forward and reveal himself.

A simple file search (Start / Search / For Files or Folders...) should
reveal it's location and it can be deleted from there. A free online scan at
HouseCall (http://housecall.antivirus.com) has detected programs such as
this for me.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Upside Down Desktop

I have a neighbor that has a problem with his PC, he says as he was
trying to connect to the Internet he turned away from his computer for a
second as he turned back, to his surprise, his screen had turned upside
down by itself. I did a search at Symantec's web site and came back with
the joker.flipped virus, the problem is he says he's run his A/V scanner
( Norton 2003 with updated definitions) and comes back clean. Does
anybody know any other way to get rid of this pest? TIA.

Amado
