Hi Anthony; I enjoyed my 735. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a speech board. At the time you could buy a stone mountain key pad that plugged into the radio for direct entry. It wasn't as good as speech but compared to my old Drake tr4 it was fun. I think you can plug in an interphase to use it with a pc. The stone mountain key pad used the plug that would otherwise have been used for the pc interphase. There is room for one filter and you probably want an external speaker. No built in tuner but the nice thing about a separate tuner is that you can put a meter between the radio and tuner and see what's going on. 73 Rich ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anthony Vece" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Monday, October 27, 2003 12:24 PM Subject: HOW ACCESSSIBLE IS THE ICOM 735!!! > Hi Everyone; > > I have the opportunity to get a mint condition ICOM 735. > > How accessible is it with or without speech. > > Can it be used with a computer interface? > > Please give me any information you think is pertinent. > > Thank you. > > 73 De Anthony W2AJV > [log in to unmask] > ECHOLINK NODE NUMBER: 74389 >
