The National Intelliegence Agency the NIA has again went on rampage, as they arrested the Editor-in-Chief of the Independent Newspaper Abdoulie Sey. Mr.Sey was picked up on Friday by Jammeh's bully boys who are bent on ending press freedom in the tiny West African country. Reliable soureces from Banjul, say no reason had been advanced for Editor Sey's arrest. Sources say the NIA and their boss Jammeh are unhappy with the paper's editoria line, which is determined to expose the regime's corrupt and dictatorial tendencies. The paper had been bold enough to maintain its editorial line, even though they have been subjectedb to all sorts of arrest and harassment by the babaric NIA since its inception. Since Friday, Mr.Sey's Family including the Gambia Press union had been trying to locate the detained journalist without success. Sources say the NIA would not allow any body to get into their premises. The fate of the arrested journalist is not yet known. We hope he will not be subjected to any inhumane treatment, as the Agency is often linked to such atrocities. _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam?
