I'm working on an Aptiva, type 2176, model Z31. It's probably about 3-4 yrs old, I'd guess. The power supply is an AT type, one which I haven't had much to do with. I note that it has four output power connectors which lead to the motherboard - there are the usual two which sit side by side in a bank, then there are two others, each containing 3 orange and 3 black wires. This Aptiva has a kind of secondary motherboard, so maybe that explains the extra two power leads, as one of them connects to the main board and the second to the subsidiary board. My question is: Does a normal AT power supply only have two output power plugs? Or do all AT supplies have four like this one? Ian Porter Computer Guys Inc.
