In order not to have to reboot, you have to refresh the SCSI bus. Turn on the scanner. Go to START >>> Settings >>> Control Panel >>> System Click on the Device Manager Tab Press the Refresh Button Your Umax Scanner will appear in the Window, or maybe not, depends on the driver.
