<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I received some great information about the San Diego Conference. I was actually sent the brochure, but since I can send attachments I will try and summarize. The conference is March 27-30th at the Hilton San Diego Resort (I've been there before and it's just beautiful) and is sponsored by Gluten-Free Living. Registration fee includes activities (except for an optional tour of San Diego), all workshops, and all Meals!! Several responded that attended the Gluten-Free Living Philadelphia Conference and said that the food was absolutely amazing. I can't wait!! The speakers for this conference include the following: Alessio Fasano, MD, co-director, Center for Celiac Research, University of Maryland (I got two responses about him. One person saying that he is "AWESOME" and another said that he is the man that just released the study on Celiac! He should be very interesting to here! Carol Fenster, PhD, author and expert on cooking and baking without gluten Bette Hagman, originator and author of The Gluten-Free Gourmet series of cookbooks Danna Korn, mother of a celiac child and author of two books on celiac disease Cynthia Kupper, RD, CD, dietitian and executive director of the Gluten Intolerance Group Ann Whelan, founder and editor/publisher of Gluten-Free Living. topics include: gluten-free diet basics, raising happy, healthy gluten free kids, baking with gf grains and loving it, positive approaches to eat out, handling CD and IDDM, making sure your prescriptions are gluten free, suspicious Ingredients like Vinegar and other GF mysteries. I was told that there is information about the conference on celiac.com, and also on the delphiforum.com discussion group. I also received information back from one of the conference organizers, so if you have any questions or want to register you can write her at [log in to unmask] or call her at 1-319-895-6111 Thanks to everybody who responded! Hope to see you all in San Diego! I can't wait. ~Ivan * Please remember some posters may be WHEAT-FREE, but not GLUTEN-FREE *
