kat, may i point out that 9/11 hurt our ecconomy. our airlines are going bankrupt, the tourism losses are huge in atlanta for example. a vial of some virus or a chemical in a cities water is not going to make people think of going out immedatly to buy something at home depot unless it is duct tape, oh maybe the gas mask industry will be helped. bush is thinking of the ecconmy. -----Original Message----- From: K. What peace initiatives are going to stop him from doing that - sacrificing his own people? He's still going to massacre the Kurds. He's still going to browbeat the poor people into his armies. His son is still going to be the 'infant-terror' of the country. None of that will go away and still will continue if we don't do anything. So no matter what happens, innocent lives will be lost. Yes, I will let the administration know of my opposition to war with Iraq, but honestly, I don't see toppling Saddam via war being any worse than letting him stay in office. I'm opposed to it because of the cost to us and our economy. I think Bush needs to focus on the economy and other domestic matters.
