Today's radio and TV news featured stories on expensive new drug treatments
for psoriasis, a T-cell mediated inflammatory disease. Like psoriasis,
celiac disease (CD) is also a T-cell mediated autoimmune disease. The
psoriasis treatments seek to inhibit T-cell response, exactly what a
treatment for CD must do. Hence the success and cost of these psoriasis
treatments portends what might be expected for a CD treatment. These new
psoriasis drugs are definitely worth watching for those interested in the
development of drugs to treat CD. Here are 2 current Medscape articles on
the new psoriasis treatments. You will need to register (free) with
Medscape to read them if you haven't already.
