Check the usual places such as Startup folder, and in the registry look at the Run node. If folders pop up, it often means that Windows was instructed to run some program in that folder, but the program has been deleted. This can happen if someone deletes a program without uninstalling it. Peter The NoSpin Group [log in to unmask] -----Original Message----- I have a friend whose computer screen is filled with a series of pop up folders such as, control panel, dialup networking, printer and a c: folder every time she boots up. There does not seem to be any problems once they are all closed but it is annoying to have to deal with them at each start up. Has anyone else had a similar experience and if so, how can they be stopped? Alan Priol The NOSPIN Group is now offering Free PC Tech support at our newest website: http://freepctech.com
