Transcription available for the Deaf

In the year plus since section 508 web accessibility standards went into
effect, colleges, universities, schools, libraries as well as government
agencies have been improving the accessibility of their web sites. Some
have instead been looking for legal advice to help them avoid having to
make changes. In both cases, this has been a hot topic of discussion over
the past year. As a member of the Access Board, Doug Wakefield helped to
draft the original standards and has been closely involved in helping
organizations work to meet these standards.

Doug acknowleges the gigantic job to impact all of the covered web sites.
He finds many organizations working to comply.

Note EASI has 2 courses on accessible web design and one on accessible
