I think the death tax only kicks in if the estate is more than 600,000, but,
I am not sure.

Ditto for me...all of my premiums are picked up, in fact.  Guess it's a case
of pay Uncle Sam now or later.  When Laura goes "casters up" will I be
liable for estate tax too (anybody know this one?)?  Ghoulish, I know, but
we're trying to get these things taken care of before emotions rule the day.

Dunno about the Georgia State tax laws, but can tell you as far as the Feds
are concerned, if you receive long term disability benefits, you only pay
tax
on the portion you didn't put in.
