<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Hello Listmates, Recently someone posted the following: "Just to let anyone know that doesn't...the ice cream dippin' dots is NOT gluten free. I was an idiot today and took a bite from the little girl I was babysitting without checking and am now still sick from it. I guess there is wheat in it to keep it from sticking..." This information is NOT true. I have just gotten off the phone with a Corporate Representative from Dippin' Dots. All of their ingredients are gluten free. They do not add wheat to keep it from sticking. In fact the company is in the process of getting certified statements from all of their suppliers to be able to assure comsumers that there is also no risk of cross-contamintion. This process should be completed within the next month or so. Once a gain, I caution people to use more care when posting to this list on the gf staus of a product. Personal reactions are not a gauge for whether or not something contains gluten. Also, who knows what the child had been eating before the Dippin' Dots? It is my guess the gluten contamination occurred there if at all. Dina * Visit the Celiac Web Page at www.enabling.org/ia/celiac/index.html *
