<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Thanks to the many of you who wrote with info/suggestions about GF food/med databases for PDAs. There is a free down-loadable word file from: <http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=celiac&msg=17007.1>h ttp://forums.delphiforums.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=celiac&msg=17007.1 which can be read from a PDA if the appropriate doc reader software is installed. There is also a database file available from Clan Thompson: <http://www.clanthompson.com/day2day/day2day.htm>http://www.clanthompson.com /day2day/day2day.htm . There is a free trial version w/ several hundred entries, and a versions for a fee with several thousand entries. Unfortunately, you can't add new entries yourself to customize the lists. Joan suggested using the list from delphiforums, copy and paste into a word processing program, reformat to reduce size and split longer docs into thirds, then copy and paste into the memo function of a PDA. She also had the great suggestion of putting some GF recipes in a PDA, so that when she goes to visit family, she just brings the PDA and ingredients and can make bread, etc. The usual caveats about any list of GF foods/meds apply, but these seem like useful resources. --Rita Gordon *Support summarization of posts, reply to the SENDER not the CELIAC List*
