Patronizing for you folks but the ADA covers all disabilities including developmentally delayed and children, no? If this clause wasn't in there, then it would depend on the individuals themselves... some of whom might not be able to do their own advocacy. I work with people with psychiatric disabilities and have had to advocate for them to get even basic living accomodations sometimes.
