SOME of our guesses about availability are undermined by data, such as the
guess that they'd have eaten potatoes.  It's anyone's guess whether spuds
and ding dongs were eaten by our paleolithic forebears.  It's as clear as
you can get that they were eating meat.  Berries and wild fruits in season.
Certainly nuts edible raw.  Add to that list at your own risk.
