Check under Publications and read article I wrote. A "trigger point" exam is done by a rheumatologist. A physiatrist also can determine if one fits the fibro profile. One must have 11-13 active trigger points (there are 18 in total). I had all 18 active at time of examination and diagnosis by my rehab doc. Oh joy. Magnesium helps a great deal with fibro crap.
