Better now than ever > cooperation and understanding featuring better Gambia and willingness of her people to commit intellectually

Mr cham,

thanks for asking these questions on the symposuim to be held. However, the case, I seconded you on the fact that Yahya have done some good too and should not for forgotten if we are to be realistic. compare Yahya to the previous government, you will see a great diffference. If you want some one to do more efford, say the good things about him too. As I said earlier, We need to talk for the Gambia too. What I ment is that, of course, there are problems but how can we make those problems better? on the other hand, talking about about the Gambia will never take us nowhere. You can say Jammeh is doing this and that for years  but how can we stop him doing those we are acusing him of? Not by insulting him and the government or whoever wanted to put their good sides on the plain.

Edi

f it is about a debate between Yahya supporters and those that oppose him, then
I do not see that as being something that will improve the development of the
country. The APRC supporters will never agree to some of the problems under the
Yahya regime, likewise the opposition supporters will not side the APRC. It will
be a never ending debate that will not take us anywhere or the country. Sitting
in America and talking about the problems will not resolve anything. Finding
ways to resolve them is what's going to have an impact. I personally believe
that Yahya did some good in that country just like he did some bad
Lets find the problems of the country, and try to fix them. not just debate
about them.
