I mentioned this story a while back: a friend had suddenly improved vision,
from being far-sighted to almost not needing glasses. His doctor diagnosed
onset of type 2 diabetes. The doctor explained that this diagnosis is
frequently linked to sudden improvements or changes in eyesight.
