Ken, Thanks for mentioning www.aacpdm.org. I'd never heard of the organization 'til now. Obviously it's pediatric in its focus, but I, too, collected some names of local physicians who might be willing to have an ear bent. I noticed with some interest their focus on adaptive sports. Whoa! I need to provide myself to those folks as a case study in what can happen to a CP'er who pushes the physical envelope. Not to be a proselyte, but I hope these folks know what they are asking of these kids. Why do you think your claim will die? Is it too closely associated with the AB "carpal-tunnel syndrome"? You are dead on when you say that the HR people want to put you through the same grid as an ab person...and it just ain't the same. Do you have the anecdotal support of your coworkers who have been at CDC for as long as you? Can/will they attest to your declining function? At least Benjamin is a bit older. Alex just turned four Saturday (think I told you that earlier). I don't know how I'll make it fourteen more years. Another slant could be, since you are a bureaucrat, to get your local US congressperson involved. Coudn't hurt to writ e a letter. -Kyle -----Original Message----- From: Barber, Kenneth L. I was seeing an ortho (who happened to be one of the original "Littla Rascals") at Children's Hospital in Columbus until he died a few years back. He was a good guy, and fascinated with what was going to happen to his young patients as they aged. He would listen to me, and that's what I needed more than anything. Why don't you ask this pediatric guy what his advice would be? He HAS to have connections. Hell, even if he justs listens to you, he can tell you what you should do/say about the work issue. Hard question, Ken, and tell me to "**** off!", if you want, but have you prayed for wisdom and insight into the situation, or are you taking this out of God's hands? Just a thought. -Kyle -----Original Message----- From: Barber, Kenneth L.
