>From observing her difficulties, it seems like too much "carb" stuff >(anything sugary or starchy) sends her into a dumping crisis... Sorry if I'm coming into this a little late but I once read about this crisis. I may have her first name wrong but Carnie Wilson, if memory serves, talked about this on the ABC News web site. I'm sure someone else here remembers which Wilson sister stapled her stomach; she once had a talk show and was a member of Wilson-Phillips, a singing threesome from the 90's. She was all over the magazines not long ago having lost all but a ton of weight like that <snap!>. Ennyhoo, she talked in this interview about the horrible crash you suffer when you eat, say, a donut. You know, the very kind of food that gets people there in the first place. Yes, and what she eats now is amazingly close to what we eat, only far, FAR less than ANY of us imbibe in a day. If you go to google.com and enter her name and ABC, it should come up. That or try the ABC TV website and search there. Better yet, Ray: do you still have a way to send us to the "48 Hours" story on you? I think it was that story that featured the words of wisdom from a woman who deals with people whose stomach staples have popped or hair has fallen out thanks to the lack of nutrients. That might make your friends think twice before going this drastic route.
