Zone Alarm, plus McAfee Antivirus software have kept me free of viruses, etc. so far (knock on wood). I also make it a policy never to open an email attachment without scanning it for viruses first. I NEVER open an attachment with a "scr" extension, as that's usually a script file and can contain a virus. Another file extension to watch out for is "vbs," which is a Visual Basic executable script that usually contains a worm virus. So far, I have had no problems, let's hope it continues. The only thing I have noticed is every time I send a e-mail, it takes sometime before it gets sent. So I have Zone Alarm installed, and it does a very good job as a personal firewall against unauthorised access. And actually, I was one of the first people who received access because the service was up Monday and I got my connection Wednesday. So far, I'm in Internet heaven because its so fast and plus its always on. Lastly, it will cost me lesser because before I was paying for the Internet access and plus an extra phone line, so I will save at least $15 and I'm happy about that.
