Hi all,

A friend of mine is going to a doctor who is big on diet (yay!), and
recommending his own version of a low-carb/Paleo diet. One of the
excluded foods is "sweet squashes". He wasn't forthcoming about what
that actually means, and she's having trouble figuring out which
squashes are okay.

My guess is that it's the all winter squashes that are considered sweet,
and only the summer squashes are not. So butternut and acorn would be
out, and zucchini in. Does that sound right? My friend doesn't think
even the acorn or butternut is sweet, and I see her point, but I can't
think of any squashes that might be even sweeter.

I have a feeling the issue isn't that important really, but she wants to
follow his protocol completely and give it a fair trial for a while
before evaluating it further.

Thanks,
Karen
