Half time: Cameroon finished the first-half strongly but the Senegalese had started the match with the upper hand. It has been a fifty-fifty battle so far with chances to both sides. The absence of two key players in the match seems to be having an effect on both teams. Mboma's absence means that Senegal have less aerial work to do in attack but must keep up with the pace of Ndiefi and Eto'o.

45 mins: Cameroon win a corner as Eto'o is blocked by Tony Sylva. The Senegal line just clears.

43 mins: Eto'o puts the ball in the back of the Senegal net after a long Cameroon throw, but the referee rules the goal out for a foul on Sylva.

40 mins: Etame Mayer cross is saved by Sylva. Njitap cuts inside the Senegalese box but he is under pressure and cannot shoot. Ndiefi is offside as he tries to win the tackle in the box.

33 mins: Good show of skill by Diouf, who rounds two of his markers and finds Ndiaye. There's a scramble and the ball is cleared by Cameroon.

26 mins: El-Hadji Diouf has an exquisite effort with a volley from outside the Cameroon penalty area that just drifts wide at the last moment.

24 mins: Cameroon have their best chance. Eto'o beats two defenders on the right lays off for Ndiefi to tap home, but he misses and the ball hits outside the side of the net.

23 mins: A freekick to Cameroon travels across the face of goal. Sylva comes out to punch out but misses, but the referee has spotted something and gives Foe a yellow card.

22 mins: Cameroon go on a raid into the Senegal half. After a string of good passes, Daf steals the ball and boots it out of his area as Eto'o prepares to shoot.

20 mins: Makhtar Ndiaye is losing the ball to often and gives it away this time to Foe.

19 mins:Senegal's corner is cleared by Song. The ball goes to Fadiga, but he takes a shot that goes high in the skies.

15 mins: The game is now being played at a very fast tempo. Cameroon go deep inside the Senegalese area. Coly tries to win a tackle - he loses the ball but is brought down. Referee Al Ghandour gives the advantage but Salif Diao cannot retain the ball. Ndiefi dribbles two defenders and misses as Sylva comes off his post to catch the ball.
