You should expect problems with Win 9x under any circumstances. If it's working now, wait until you have a problem, and then format and reinstall. If you do it now, you will still have problems down the road, why not just wait until you do. >I replaced a damaged 2GB western digital IDE HDD from a Dell-P166 with a 2GB quantum IDE HDD from a functioning Dell P90. My intent was to reformat this replacement HDD and to re-install the OS. However, when I booted-up, Win98 started right up. It detected the new components, loaded the drivers (except for one) and completed the start-up. This all seemed too easy. Therefore, my question is, should I expect problems in the future, if I decide not to reformat and re-install the OS on this replacement HDD? -- __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
