From The Observer UDP Kombo central chairman blames Waa Juwara Upholds APRC victory The Kombo central UDP chairman, Dembo Ara Sanneh, has called on Lamin Waa Juwara, the UDP propaganda secretary, to stop blaming Ousainou Darboe, UDP presidential candidate for congratulating president Jammeh on his election victory, describing the process as free and fair. Chairman Sanneh made this remark in a brief interview with the Daily Observer at his Brikama residence. He said what Darboe did was very good. “The election was internationally acclaimed as free and fair”. Mr Sanneh said even in Senegal during campaign period, political parties fought hard but after the election, all the parties joined together to work for the development of the nation. He said Abdou Joof won elections in Senegal some time in the past, but formed a broad based government which included opposition politicians. “This did not prevent the opposition from contesting subsequent elections”. Mr Sanneh said the people of Kombo central accepted the election results as they were internationally acclaimed. He blamed Waa Juwara for castigating Ousainou Darboe. As your leader, when he did some thing you don’t like, you should not go directly to the press, blaming him without first discussing matters with him,” Sanneh reasoned. Mr Sanneh called on UDP militants to work as one unified force and wait for the next election.. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp <<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>> To view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] <<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>
