I was browsing books in Borders yesterday and ran across something called 'The Okinawan Diet'. The premise was that these islanders have an unusually long-lived population of healthy people over 100 years of age. It also said the Russian and Hunza populations that claimed they had many 100+ year-olds were basically hoaxes that traded on people's willingness to believe. The Okinawans eat a grains/fruit/veggies/fish kind of pyramid basically, have excellent support networks, and deal with stress in ways that promote their longevitity. I'm wondering if anyone has read the book and can comment on any information relating this to the paleo diet? Todd
