<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Please tell me if it's better not to put food warnings on this list! I was in gastric distress since Sunday night and couldn't figure out what I'd eaten that was causing it because although I dined with friends on Sunday I carefully only ate plain vegetables and one piece of a gluten free cake I'd made myself. Then it dawned on me, finally, yesterday, that on Sunday night I'd fixed myself a late supper of spaghetti with baked tofu. The baked tofu was a new product, to me anyway, and because it was White Wave brand and so much of their stuff is gluten free, I'd been lax and not read the label! Sure enough, it has wheat in it. I called to double check, 1-800-488-9283, and Amy assured me that yes, all eight varieties of baked tofu contain WHEAT. She was very sorry for my distress, and promised to take my suggestion (actually, encouragement) that they consider making this deicious product gluten free, too. I reminded her that our numbers are growing rapidly as knowledge of celiac and other gluten intolerances spreads and diagnosis becomes more frequent. Amazing how, even with a bad allergy day, my spirits soared once this mystery was solved. Hoping to help someone out there avoid a "mystery" of their own!
