Fellows, greetings to all for your time, energies, and sacrifices in our struggle to liberate Gambia from the enemies of Gambia.  I know you'll mean well and that you are really concerned about the state of our condition.  However, in light of what's at stake come October, I am really concerned that we might blow up what should otherwise, be an easy chance to send the gang of thugs to the slammer.  We have been spending a lot of our energies arguing on some issues that do not have any bearing on our main objective.  We say we want the opposition to unite, but have we even laid any foundation for the financial support we keep on pledging?  We say we are going to change Gambia for good, but have we even come to the table to set our agenda?  We say we want the political parties to come and tell us what they intend to do for the Gambia if we should give them the legitimacy to be our servants, but what are we as a community doing to make sure that our right to suffrage will be respected?  These and many more questions relating to our condition we need to be working on.  The bye-elections should be a heads-up for the wise.  After the fact, we have the pundits and Monday Morning Quarterbacks tell us what the opposition did wrong or should have done.  If they knew all that why did they not come out then?  We run the risk of doing the same thing in October if we do not change our ways.  I appeal to all to hold their punches and look at the big picture.  Time is not on our side, so lets put our differences in outlook aside and refocus on winning.  Elections, even the free and fair ones are won by enormous financial and human resources.  Take that plus a corrupt, callous, and "everything including the kitchen sink" type of butchers, and tell me if our battle is up-hill or down-hill.  The ball is now in our court and our faith rests in our very hands.  I leave you'll in peace.
