Hi folks,

This might have been discussed previously, before I joined the list so I
apologise if it's going to repeat stuff....

I got a little 4 year old Maltese/Shitsu Terrier from the pound about 4
weeks ago. He's a cutie.

I've been feeding him raw scraps from the butcher. He's also been having the
odd tin of dog food (which he's not too keen on). I also bought some
Eukanuba biscuits which he really isn't impressed with. He loves the raw
meat and looks longingly at anything I'm eating.

I don't want to give him processed rubbish from a tin. It says it's not fit
for human consumption. Why should it be good enough for my dog then?

Do you think that raw meat is enough. It's usually beef scraps with a fair
amount of fat on it. Does he need anything else and is dog food a bad thing?

I had 2 cats before I moved here to Australia. Now my parents have them and
they've always been fed cat food form a tin. I've often thought that it
wasn't the best for them.

What do you guys feed your dogs or cats?

Alison
