As Shakespeare said, "Me thinks thelady(man) protesteth too much." Put a simpler way, the writer of the passage you quoted seems to be saying that although the writer understands the plight and courage of most "handicapped persons"(yeah man, give me a break!), he/she thinks many persons with "handicaps" have a chip on their shoulder and ask too much of society. I get the definite feeling that this person is hiding a deep resentment toward people with disabilities. Bobby
