<<(2) A few replied, no, that all gluten intolerance is celiac (perhaps
undiagnosed, but still celiac).  Here are two examples:

        -"I just asked my gastroenterologist and he said no."

        -"The answer to your question is that...all gluten intolerance
is celiac disease".>>

I've spoken at length with Dr. Fine and my local gastro (Cynthia Rudert -
med avisor of several celiac groups).  They both feel that gluten
intolerance/sensitivity occurs along a spectrum....at the extreme end of
the spectrum is celiac....and that it's possible to be gluten
intolerance without having celiac - in other words, possible to be
gluten intolerance without having villi damage.

Celiac= gluten intolerance (ie intestinal antibodies to gluten) +damage.
Gluten intolerance (ie intestinal antibodies to gluten) can exist without the
damage....in which case it doesn't get the celiac tag.
