I'm just wondering if it would be possible to rid a BBQ of gluten by
excessive burning.  For example I had a bbq this past summer and because
our family has used this for cooking a lot of foods containing gluten I
chose to let it burn at high heat for 30 minutes, then scrape the bars
before cooking my food on it.  Wouldn't this destroy the proteins we
call gluten?  I didin't get sick after doing this.  Another possible
solution is to have a second grill made that can be clamped on top of
the contaminated one an inch or so above to add protection.  If a virus
can not survive the intense heat of a fire then why would a gluten
protein?

This is merely a thought and not a shot at anyone on the list...
