THE IDEA OF ACTUALLY PARTICIPATING IN SOME RELIEF FOR THE INJURED AND THE SURVIVORS OF THE DECEASED COULD BE THE BEST THING THAT EVER COMES OUT OF SUCH TRAGEDIES. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE CURRENT APPEAL IS TO FUND KUTUBO'S EVACUATION FOR TREATMENT AND WE WILL RESPOND IN DROBES.

 

IN ADDITION, COULD YOU CONSULT WITH FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE DECEASED AND OTHER INJURED AND SECURE A POST OFFICE BOX TO WHICH GAMBIANS AND GAMBIA-CONCERNED CAN MAIL FUNDS TO FOR THEIR SUPPORT. I WOULD SUGGEST LEAVING THE BOX OPEN FOR AT LEAST A YEAR.

 

A SIMILAR ADDRESS WILL BE SET UP TO ASSIST THE STUDENT VICTIMS OF THE APRIL MASSACRES AND TO COMMEMORATE THE ANNIVERSARY OF SAME. MEMBERS OF THE L-COMMUNITY AND OTHERS WILL BE INFORMED OF THIS ADDRESS IN DUE COURSE.
