<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> My friend I know is celiac or intolerant. I can tell she gets it from her mothers side. Her mother has depression, breast cancer (remission), lymphoma, addicted to prescription pills and "drinks milk by the gallons." And I am sure lots of gluten. My friend only problems are muscle/joint aches (they call it something) and overweight. Her first child who is 4 now has had problems with his bowels early on being constipated and rock hard. He seems to be doing OK. The 6 week old is having problems. My friend had a hard time getting pregnant (it just took a year) and both her pregnancy were very hard. Sick, tired and did not feel good. I bet the little vitamins she was absorbing the baby was taking. Her first pregnancy 5 years ago resulted in miscarriage. The new baby is having gas a lot which is making her cry and now she is throwing up some. Her doctor told her the child may be allergic to casein and for her to stop having dairy. (She is breastfeeding.) She was giving the baby somekind of pink gas medicine and now she said she is giving the baby something to make her not throw up. She is now breastfeeding and doing bottles. No- I do not know what kind and I do not know if she has had any shots. The doctor metioned the baby may have gall bladder problems. I wanted to suggest a formula and anything else. Maybe some of you have had similar experiences. I know some babies can not have soy formula either. I think it needs to be gluten and casein free. I do not have children, so I am sure she is thinking what do I know. You can email me and I will forward it on to my friend Stefanie. Maybe she will listen to strangers before her friend. You know how stubbern us women all get. Thank you for your help! Julie McQuillan
