Hi Jim, I might suggest that you take a look at www.belkin.com they have a pretty large selection of USB and other solutions for connecting all sorts of machines and peripherals. The short version is this: At this university, we have some "Smart Classrooms", that is classrooms with podiums that contain a PC, a Macintosh, A/V equipment, and a controller for a Data Projector (projection TV). The current thinking is to get a 1U rackmount PC workstation, put a Macintosh into a rackmount case, and have them share CD drives, Floppy drives, monitor, keyboard, and mouse, perhaps using USB. Has anyone tried this before? Are there any suggestions for switches or USB hubs that would allow this. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
