Then he'll think about it once in a while, for a few weeks or months or however long, and then he might try it, and if he sees immediate results, he'll stick with it but not without going back to his old habits just to make sure that he really was quite unhappy/uncomfortable like that. What I am actually wondering is if there are people who indeed can not tolerate breakfast at all, much less meat for breakfast. Ben (my DH) insists that he *can not* eat breakfast, now please pass the coffee pot thank you very much. It seems he's just not used to doing so, and unwilling to change that despite his constant tired, cranky mood. When I changed my habits from two cups of coffee and two smokes for breakfast, to three eggs and some sausages (and toast, at the time), I felt great! (And I haven't smoked for three years!) But maybe the transition was so easy for me because I was pregnant at the time. When I was anorexic "way back when" I was 14, I would become physically ill if I smelled food in the morning. It took years to overcome this. Now I become physically ill if I delay breakfast. It seems our bodies' relationship with food is something that doesn't take kindly to change. It just seems so unnatural to not eat in the morning. How else do you have energy to get through the day? Besides coffee and doughnuts.
