I have put together a Pentium Pro 200 computer on an ASUS M/B. This is a socket 8 board for the Pro chip. The CPU requires a special oversize heatsink and fan which I have obtained. Unfortunately there is no means of securing it to the socket, just a bare heatsink and fan. I assume there should be a clamp with it to do the job. On the base of the heatsink appears to be remnants of a grey-like paste which could have been thermal paste. My problem is, how can I secure it to the CPU without resorting to an adhesive.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Alan Priol.
