Hi Everyone,

Once again Celiac Disease has made it into the media.  We just received
the latest issue of Forbes Magazine.  In this issue there is an article
about genetically altered food and how many people with allergies and
intolerances to food products are concerned about widespread use of
genetically altered food products.  The article mentions that
researchers in Britan are working on a genetically altered product that
will aid people with Celiac Disease.  They explain that they are
altering grain to remove the "harmful" protein sequences that affect
people with celiac disease.  It is a brief article but still may help
raise the awareness of CD and the challenges celiacs face! Also it was
great to read that researchers are dedicating time to trying to help the
celiac population.  I know not everyone will agree with their approach
but it could be promising!
