<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Hi... My primary care MD suggested that I take the following meds. Macrobid100mg - for urinary and colon infection Miacalcin - nasal spray for osteoporosis Quinine Sulfate - for leg cramps I'm not so keen on taking meds on a long term basis. However, I'd consider taking Miacalcin if it's safe for us celiacs. I know some of you are using it, in preference to Fossmax. I'd love to hear your experiences of using it. If your doctor suggested you take Miacalcin, and you chose not to, why? My doctor indicated that calcium supplements are ineffective. I've been reading otherwise. The new Iprifavine (spelling) have claims of efficiency for bone care. Does it work for celiacs? I want to maximize care of my bones, as I've seen my mother endure the ravages of osteoporisis - she was never outwardly stooped, but had several bone fractures which rendered her chairbound for the last years of her life. A needless tragedy as she was probably an undiagnosed celiac. What about Quinine Sulfate? Will taking Quinine water (tonic water) do the trick? My lawyer's wife uses this for leg cramps. Is it safe for us celiacs? Your help will be appreciated! Of course, I'll summarize.. Mildred Oberkotter
