I certainly could have used that when I gave birth to my first born.

hours of labor ended in a c-section and a 2000cc blood loss due to
hemorrhaging. Thank goodness my sister had given blood for me *just in
case* a week before my due date.  I had a transfusion and was so weak,
and out of it, I was not able to see my son until 2 days after his
birth.
 The nurses that come in and knead the uterus to help it shrink, makes
you want to punch them in the face.
