Jack,
Try going to add/remove programs in control panel and see if MS instant
messenger is listed, if so uninstall it and see if that fixes the problem.
The file has most likely become corrupted or it could be a virus. Have you
tried running a good up to date virus app.?

Hi all

I have a client that has the following problem. When he tries to open
OE5 he
get the illegal action warning and OE shuts down. The detail says its a
fault with 'Msimn.exe'. Every thing else on his computer works fine
including IE5. He has Win98se. Could it be a virus? Or would a reinstall of
OE5 be more in line?

Thanks in advance

Jack Brooks
