I've experienced the same problem on other systems as well. It seems to occur periodically after the system hangs and is not shut down properly. An entry shows up in my c:\windows\start menu\programs\startup folder called "kak.hta". The specific symptoms are as follows: 1. I receive an error message in a dialogue box that is titled "Internet Explorer Script Error" The contents of the box state: An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line: 1 Char: 599 Error: Expected Identifier Code: 0 URL: file://c:\windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\kak.hta Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? (YES or NO buttons presented) 2. A second (minimized) window all appears whenever the above error occurs. It is entitled "Driver Memory Error" and the window contains a bunch of non-readable ASCII characters among which I can make out only one phrase "S3 driver memory alloc failed" In the short term I have found the problem easy to fix by simply deleting the "kak.hta" from my Startup folder. However, I am more than a little curious about how (& why) it is getting there in the first place. -------------------------------- Bob King - [log in to unmask] ICQ 4687207 | FAX 305-574-8373 Visit our website regularly for FAQs, articles, how-to's, tech tips and much more http://nospin.com - http://nospin.org Do you want to signoff PCBUILD or just change to Digest mode - visit our web site: http://nospin.com/pc/pcbuild.html
