I have an IBM Thinkpad 390E laptop computer (series  2626-BOU) that is
simply dead in the water.  It won't boot up, it has no drive activity,
and no LCD/CRT display.  This is the second such problem I have
encountered with these laptops.  Part of my job is to help maintain
these computers for student use.

The laptop warranty just expired and I'm at my wits end to resolve this.
