Mr MBallow, With respect, i urge you to quote where i said Waa Juwara was dishonest by refusing PDOIS's invitation to a debate. What was dishonest about Waa Juwara was rather than appreciating PDOIS's role in his release, he went around accusing PDOIS of appeasing YAhya's gov't. ON the issue of unity, i do agree with you. However, i still find it difficult on how unity can come about when all the other parties had refused to engage with PDOIS in any forum. AS far as i know, in 1997 PDOIS tried without success to convene a conference to discuss a common strategy. sincere greetings, MBOge >From: Saihou Mballow <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list ><[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: Re: Strengthening The Hand Of The Devil: African Leftists And > Dictatorships >Date: Thu, 3 Aug 2000 10:49:36 EDT > >Mboge, > Today what one should try to do is to bring together UDP,PDOIS and >NRP,leaders, and politicians,to try to shape a new destiny for our country >and that is the only way to create an atmosphere where every Gambian will >be >given back his/her rights. These three parties failure to come together will >shatter all the hopes of the Gambian people. >You are not fair to call Lamin Waa Juwara refusal to accept PDOIS >invitation >to a public debate a dishonesty.Mr.Juwara has been attending many important >debates and symposium. In fact,he got the right to turn down any invitation >which he feels is not important to him and to UDP party. >Saihou > > > > >>From: momodou olly-mboge <[log in to unmask]> >>Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list >><[log in to unmask]> >>To: [log in to unmask] >>Subject: Re: Strengthening The Hand Of The Devil: African Leftists And >> Dictatorships >>Date: Thu, 3 Aug 2000 10:35:29 GMT >> >>Hi Pasamba, >> >>As PDOIS supporters, we both know that many so-called Gambian intellects >>in >>the past refused to face Halifa in a public forum.
