<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> The need for an open exchange of ideas about Celiac Disease and it's connections to other health-related conditions is one of the primary reasons for this List. I am as guilty as the next person who wonders about the connection between gluten and ill health, and personally believe that it may be the underlying cause of a number of health related problems in undiagnosed Celiacs, so I welcome the exchanges and the 'what ifs' about Celiac Disease and it's connection to other conditions. My own questions about the connection between CD and Autism, MS, and Alzheimer's brought a number of enlightening responses, and much food for thought. What is wrong with a little brainstorming on any topic? If we are bound to site references, for everything we say to each other, we will stop communicating altogether, and I am not convinced that it is necessary or useful to us. The fact is that we know quite a lot about Celiac because we live with it, and we add to our knowledge daily, and until recently there has been very little research into the condition and it's connections with other diseases, so what better way to encourage interest than to openly share ideas about it? Hopefully the negative responses to listings will stop. They seem to be getting worse than ever and do nothing to help our understanding. Valerie Cawley, California
